Designer unknown? The designer of this catalog, of the poster and curator of the exhibition is the brazilian artist MARY VIEIRA (1927 - 2001). The poster of the exhibition was awarded as one of the best swiss posters of the year 1954. Her´s are the posters 'brasilien baut brasilia'(1957) and 'dc7c panair do brasil'(1957). The panair-poster has international fame and is mentionned in most graphic design publications. The artist stopped working as a designer in the end of the fifties and dedicated herself to sculpture (polyvolumes). Two polyvolumes can be seen in Paris at the show DYNAMO (Grand Palais). She also was teacher for over two decades at the Schule für Gestaltung in Basel, Switzerland. For more informations about MV see exhibition catalog: Org.
