in 1955 max bill (1908-1994) curated a mondrian exhibition in the kunsthaus zürich. bill also designed the poster and this catalogue.

as often with bill, the text is all lower-case, except the introduction by "r.w." (= kunsthaus director rené wehrli).

the titles are in akzidenz-grotesk semi-bold, while the machine-set text is monotype grotesque set flush left, ragged right .

interestingly, the paintings are listed with their owners – among them familiar names such as max bill, alfred roth, jan tschichold and s. giedion-welcker.
