and yet another 50th anniversary company brochure, published by the chemical factory schweizerhall in 1940.
on the first page just the abbreviation "cfs", set vertically in fraktur close to the right margin, ...
... followed by the complete company name, ...
... and title, all in fraktur, too.
the layout sticks to the outer margins, combining asymmetrically placed fraktur titles with bodoni for texts.
the impressum credits "atelier eidenbenz, basel" for the design.
the three eidenbenz brothers – hermann, willi and reinhold – founded their studio in 1933.
willi eidenbenz (1909-1998) was a renowned photographer, and so i assume he contributed the excellent photos, ...
... while hermann eidenbenz (1902-1993) is best known for his numerous graphic designs (including bank notes).
