bruno margadant (*1929) is known for the incredible poster collections he assembled. one is about the swiss poster. this book was published at the occasion of an exhibition in zürich and basel.

the jacket was designed by basel typographer wolfgang weingart (*1941) – his exhibition poster is very similar. note the inversion of the jacket's red cross to a white swiss cross on the red cover.

there is a dedication by bruno margadant to leo gantenbein (1920-1998), a swiss poster artist featured in the book.

the impressum credits konrad bruckmann's studio in basel for the book typography.

i as far as i know this collection is now owned by the staatliche museen of berlin.
