soul-hygienics for healthy heathens is the funny title of this witty book by fritz brupbacher (1874-1945), a psychiatrist and doctor in zurich's poor working class district, and a prominent socialist activist.

the nice dustjacket design features a contrasting mix of blocky sans-serif type and informal script on a shaded colour backgrund very similar to book 348.

the impressum credits heiner hesse (1909-2003) for the jacket design. hesse had trained as a display designer and studied at the kunstgewerbeschule zürich. heiner was the son of famous author hermann hesse, and later took charge of his father's estate.

the typography of the inner pages is traditional.
