in 1960 swiss "concrete poetry" pioneer eugen gomringer (*1925) started a series of booklets collecting examples of different authors.
here we have issues 1 and 5 of 11 editions published.
issue 1 contains gomringer's "5 mal 1 konstellationen".
no designer is credited – maybe gomringer himself?
issue 5 contains "tabellen und variationen" by claus bremer (1924-1996).
there are some fine modernist ads including one about painter josef albers: gomringer was his representative in europe.
the "n c ag" ad is a design by josef müller-brockmann (thanks, greg, for the correction!), while the "therma" ad features carlo vivarelli's logotype.
finally an ad for the "quadrat-bücher" series, including gomringer's book featured in story 86.
