this is the catalogue of a 1955 exhibition of young bernese art in the kunsthalle bern. kunsthalle director arnold rüdlinger (1919-1967) wrote the introductory text.

the impressum credits adolf flückiger (1917-1998) for the cover design. flückiger was trained at the kunstgewerbeschule zürich and later became a teacher for graphic design at the gewerbeschule bern.

among the featured works is a constructivist painting by dieter roth (below right) who soon changed his style.

the text and ad sections are prinrted on rough red paper. below left an ad for photographer kurt blum who is credited for the photos.

the ad for the painters/plasterers gygi+co on the rear wrapper is by hans-rudolf lauterburg.
