"we fight for oil" by american journalist denny ludwell (dates?) was first published by alfred a. knopf, new york, in 1928. this first german edition by orell füssli followed in 1930, as part of a series of political books.

the jacket design of this paperback edition features an impressive areal view of oil rigs spreading over a landscape, with assymetric sans-serif title.

the book claims the essential role of oil in politics and in past and future wars ... and proved rather true, until this day!
