the cover is strikingly "abstract-modernist": a triangular grid pattern derived from an antenna mast and circular radio waves across a world map, with tilted sansserif type. author's/publisher's names and spine title are in akzidenz-grotesk.

the impressum credits "hans huber" for the jacket design. i wonder if this is a typo, ...

... and if it is actually by modern artist/graphic designer max huber (1919-1992) ...? style-wise i see some parallels, e.g. look at huber's books 214 or 218 with similar constructive patterns, and book 220 features circular radio waves. but who knows ... (25.07.09: greg d'onofrio just informed me that the latest issue of idea magazine on max huber confirms my attribution – thanks, greg!)
