here a book that has travelled quite a bit.
when i found this copy listed on a website it turned out that it was located in brazil.
a brazilian colleague managed to buy it there and another colleague brought it back to switzerland ...
... literally "back to switzerland": the book is about heberlein & co, a swiss textile finishing company located only 50 km from where i live.
it was published in 1935 at the occasion of the company's 100th anniversary.
among the authors is director georges heberlein (1874-1944) who contributed a history of the company founded by his grandfather.
what makes this book special is not its rather conventional typography, ...
