sometimes i find these long forgotten books on local flea markets, for a franc or even for free.

this one caught my eye because i liked its simple, unspectacular dustjacket design in the classic 1950-60s "swiss style": ...

... the b/w photo of a woman – a dark silhouette in front of a landscape with water – is contrasted by a title in gleaming white and the author's name in green, ... .

... both set in akzidenz-grotesk. spine titles on jacket and cover are also green. the silhouette on the green cloth cover sort of echoes the jacket photo. the jacket design is credited to "rudolf zeller" (dates?).

luise wolfer (1901-1990) was a swiss writer i don't know much about.
