the exhibition of german painter max beckmann (1884-1950) that we came across in our also book previous story was also shown in the kunsthaus zürich.
this uncredited catalogue design combines a beckmann self portrait with red geometrical shapes. the akzidenz-grotesk title is contrasted by the museum's name in bodoni.
the inside pages are set in garamond.
the text is again by beckmann scholar erhard göpel (1906-1966).
max beckmann is among my favourite painters of the 20th century.
