first two weeks of october 2004
all in all a relaxing and stimulating holiday in yorkshire and london, a necessary change of scenary and a chance to catch up with family and friends.
after a windy few days in york we got to our cottage up near the abbey in whitby where we stayed for over a week. ate too much fish and chips, inhaled the sea air, defied the weather forecasts and once again rode the grosmont to pickering steam fired line.
finally a flying overnight visit to hashi, mark and haris (thank you thank you!) followed by a stressful (but definitely worth it) day in london.
