hans tschäni based this book about the political system of switzerland on a series of articles published in the swiss daily newspaper "tages-anzeiger" where tschäni worked as an editor.

the book design is by walter bangerter (1907-1986) who also designed book 91. again a classic example of swiss "new new typography" (like the previous book): asymmetric page layout and sans-serif type – adrian frutiger's "univers". the colour scheme of the cover is similar to this booklet.

this copy bears a bookplate which says that it had been presented by the city of aarau to its young citizens.

the book won a "most beautiful swiss books" award in 1966.
