this is technical book on the anodic oxiation of aluminium was written by engineers walther willy georg hübner and adolf schiltknecht.

this is the second edition of a book orginally published in 1956.

max bill (1908-1994) is credited for the dustjacket design. the picture on the aluminium-coloured jacket is also featured in the book: a max bill work with the title "akzentgruppen", produced on metal by the methods described in the book. the picture is based on an original lithograph from a print portfolio issued by max bill in 1941.

the ad section at the back is also influenced by the swiss style of (industrial) graphic design.
