arthur niggli was an important publisher for the modern graphic design movement in switzerland.
the architects collaborative (tac) was founded in 1945 by a group of graduates of harvard's graduate school of design and soon joined by bauhaus veteran walter gropius.
the book was designed by josef müller-brockmann (1914-1996) in his favoured landscape format (see stories 89, 145). however, in this book müller-brockmann used unjustified setting of text.
on the picture below, gropius and his mates are posing on a sculpture in front of a harvard university building they built.
