johannes bernardus van loghem:

m.v. uitgevers-maatschappij "kosmos", amsterdam, 1932
size: 25 x 19 cm
designer: paul schuitema
this 1932 book by dutch architect johannes bernardus van loghem (1881-1940) is a great overview of modernist architecture in holland. although the main text is in dutch, there are summaries and captions in german, english and french.
paul schuitema (1897-1973), one of holland's leading modernist graphic designers, is credited in the impressum for the typography, cover and jacket design – unfortunantely lacking on this copy.
schuitema uses a narrow sans-serif for the title which is printed in four languages. on the grey cloth cover the titles are printed in green across a blindstamped map of holland.
all texts are set in lowercase sans-serif.
