this is volume 3 of the series "das neue drama" by friedrich wolf (1888-1953, see details in volume 1 – apparently no volume 2 was published.

although no cover designer is credited in the impressum, we can assume that it was done by max keilson (1900-1953) since it is in an identical style to "cyankali", on a light green background.

this drama about mutining austrian seamen in ww1 was an international success, also in the u.s.a. ("the sailors of cattaro"). however, alongside "cyankali" it was on the list of books to be burnt by the nazis on the opernplatz, berlin, 10 may, 1933.
