in the early 1930s, the berliner zeitschriftenverlag published their popular paperback novels with modernist photomontage wrappers. this montage of a ship, a fjord and map of scandinavia is signed "domela" on the left.
cesar domela-nieuwenhuis (1900-1992) designed several covers for this publisher; another example is story 169. a reproduction of the cover i stuck in, probably from a promotional flyer, is stuck in below the half title.
