another classic jacket by richard paul lohse (1902-1988) showing a strictly orthogonal, grid-based design and his signature overprinted photos – similar to book 52.
on the cloth cover the multilingual titles are repeated in identical position. lohse used akzidenz-grotesk for the cover and jacket, but bodoni for the inner title.
book 99 is another collaboration of architect/author ernst zietzschmann (1907-1991) and lohse who was an editor and designer for the "bauen+wohnen" magazine at that time.
