in the 1950s windows with a small built-in conservatory were in big fashion. this is a comprehensive book on the construction and design of these "flower windows".
the cover design by fritz moeschlin (*1922) uses overprinted colour fields, as often seen in designs by richard paul lohse – however lohse would never use such non-orthogonal shapes ... 253
moeschlin also used an overprinting montage for book 253.
while the cover title is in akzidenz-grotesk, the inner pages in bodoni. the book is in german and french.
