in the early 1960s the landesgewerbeamt baden-württemberg in stuttgart organised an exhibition series on graphic design. this one featured the basel-based agency of gerstner, gredinger + kutter (ggk), see e.g. story 18.

the catalogues were designed by herbert w. kapitzki (*1925) who became a professor at the hfg ulm in 1964. the brochure's design reflects the influence of the "swiss style" which was also adopted by the hfg. the introductory text is by art journalist willi bongart (+1985). bongart worked for the magazine "capital" which gerstner designed.

among the numerous featured works is an interesting gerstner/kutter new year's card from 1955/1956 which is similar to the fep of book 17.

the fold-out colour plate of the famous national-zeitung campain was silkscreen-printed by domberger .
