richard paul lohse (1902-1988) used geometric "bundle of ray" designs before – see the previous story. in this jacket such "rays" are used in a purely abstract way.

here lohse used a consistent design style for the jacket, cover and title page – with bodoni type.

in this book siemsen writes about important women from old to newer times – bettina von arnim and rosa luxemburg among them.
