for this kunsthalle basel catalogue for an exhibition of hans arp (1887-1966), armin hofmann (*1920) used not his usual purely typographic style (see previous story) but integrated a work by arp. look at this nice photo of arp with basel school pioneers hofmann and ruder.

the title page repeats the cover's asymmetric typography.

a.r. (= kunsthalle director arnold rüdlinger, 1919-1967) wrote the introduction, and c.g.-w. (= carola giedion-welcker, 1893-1979) contributed a short essay. there are poems as well as reproductions of sculptures and paintings by arp.
