"fiebernde zeit" (feverish times) is a collection of chants and poems by bruno schönlank (1891-1965), a german socialist writer who emigrated to switzerland in 1933. there is an inscription and poem by schönlank opposite the title page.

the booklet was printed by the genossenschaftsdruckerei arbon. this small town, dubbed "red arbon", was a social democrat stronghold in north eastern switzerland.

the design, especially the asymmetric cover and title page, is somewhat influenced by new typography.
