"kabloona" is a book by french adventurer Gontran De Poncins, first published in english in 1941. as we can read in wikipedia, it recounts poncin's solo unsupported journey in the canadian arctic where he lived with the inuit (in those days, still generally called the eskimos).
poncins explores inuit culture and world view, leaving the reader with a deeper understanding of such things as wife-swapping, living in an igloo at 40 degrees below zero.
this is the 1943 german edition published by the büchergilde gutenberg in zürich.
the book design is credited to a. r. bühler, a designer i don't know anything about.
the book contains many drawings by the author and black and white photographs.
