three years after he first edition of sigfried giedion's ciam book (see story 52) this enlarged second edition was published. in america, some girsberger books were published under the label of their partner george wittenborn, new york.
the dustjacket of the second edition is designed by lily bösiger ...
... while the book itself kept richard paul lohse's design of the first edition. the title page is trilingual now.
again, parallels between architecture and other art disciplines are pointed out – sculptures by le corbusier and laszlo moholy-nagy, for example.
