since 1941 the swiss government organised an annual "best post poster of the year". this leaflet presents the winners of the 1971 competition.

it was designed by richard paul lohse (1902-1988). according to the catalogue of his graphic designs (isbn 9783775707671) p. 260, lohse was in the jury for many years, and he also designed the brochure starting in 1956. the design stayed the same until 1971. the front cover's red square reminds of this earlier design by lohse.

art historian and former hfg ulm student margit staber (*19??) wrote the text. note that the majority of these posters are not in the "swiss style" anymore, but reveal a pop art influence .
