a diary-style report about "a nazi discovering france". the cover illustration (signed "h sp") leaves no doubt about the political message of the book: a hammer is chopping off the svastika's hooks! the autobiographic diary is about a nazi who turns into a (christian) pacifist.

i don't know much about the author eitel wolf dobert (1906-1994), only that he later emigrated to the u.s., ...

... nor about the bern-based gotthelf-verlag, only that they published also books 19 and 319.
