the title "on shaky ground" does not refer to earthquakes – the author criticises the current system of land property ownership and suggests reforms. werner schmid (1898-1981), a swiss teacher and politician, was a follower of the "freiwirtschaft" movement in the tradition of silvio gesell.

the brochure's cover is very similar to the previous book's jacket – almost "uniform" in style and colour.

on the title page there is an inked dedication by the brochure's author to its designer, franz fässler (1920-2003).

note the asymmetric layout with chapter and paragraph heads at the left. sans-serif type (flush left, ragged right) and square format are standard "swiss" features.
