the "galerie des eaux-vives" in zürich was a small art gallery that showed abstract and "concrete" artists of the "allianz" group. in 1945, two booklets were published by an "editions des eaux-vives" (see also the next story). this book is an introduction to conteplating abstract and concrete art by johannes martin sorge.
the cover drawing is by max bill (1908-1994) who designed the book. sans-serif rules.
