the "allianz" association of modern swiss artists was founded in 1937. in 1940 they published this important brochure, compiled by their president leo leuppi (1893-1972) and richard paul lohse (1902-1988) who designed the booklet.
asymmetric title layout and sans-serif type reveal a modernist design approach. the table of contents, set in a single size and weight, looks "minimalist" in the way later swiss designs often do.
there are text contributions by max bill, le corbusier, sigfried giedion, leo leuppi, and others.
