the design of this interesting book is what i would call an example for the transition to post-classical modernist swiss typography.
the publication documents the founding of the experimental art and design school "f+f" (farbe+form) in zürich.
among the founders were designers/artists serge stauffer (1929-1989) and hansjörg mattmüller (1923-2006). mattmüller was one of the artists featured in "kalte kunst?", see story 16.
doris stauffer (*1934), also a co-founder and teacher at the school, is credited for some of the photos.
the innovative graphic design is by hans-rudolf lutz (1939-1998) – see more about him in story 275.
some of the illustrations seem to be inspired by the psychedelic "flower power" style.
