swiss photographer michael wolgensinger (1913-1990) travelled to finland in summer 1939, but had to return to switzerland when ww2 broke out.
his book about this journey sports a dustjacket design credited to pierre gauchat (1902-1956), with a sans-serif title in blue – the colour of finland's flag.
the typography of the inner pages is more traditional, with text pages printed on a slightly yellow paper ...
... while the photo plates are printed on white coated paper. the captions are in german and french, so i guess the same pages were used for a french edition of the book.

... and the stadium built for the 1940 olympics in helsinki which never happened due to ww2. laid in a leaflet for a book about finnish people from rotapfel-verlag which was related to publisher eugen rentsch.
