the theatre which today is called opernhaus zürich opened in 1834, and this brochure is for the season 1934/1935.
the photomontage cover is signed "clemens": ...
... roman clemens (1910-1992) was born in dessau/germany and at the "local" bauhaus, before he emigrated to zürich where he became a stage designer at the stadtheater. see book story 513 for a jacket design by clemens.
